Summary: Designed an electrical assembly with 3D mechanical layout and corresponding schematic documentation.
This project focused on designing a heavy-duty firefighting UAV's electrical assembly with clear power and signal interfaces.
I was responsible for the SolidWorks electrical assembly, schematic capture in KiCad, and system documentation.
The 3D model shows component placement, mounting, and cable routing with attention to accessibility and strain relief.
Through this project, I learned how electrical assembly design requires balancing power distribution, thermal behavior, and physical layout as a unified system. Studying the UAV parts and power architectures taught me that currents, heat production and the location of components directly impact the device's reliability and ease of servicing.
